Royce is our "precious moments" child. He's by far our happiest yet. He'll run around in circles just for the sheer joy of it. He is 2 yrs. old now and follows Kalen around like a puppy(which Kalen hates). With Logyn and Perri gone to school all day now, the two younger boys are starting to play a lot better. They both have the most contagious laughs. I love it. Royce loves to sing and dance. He loves anything outdoors and his family. He is constantly giving hugs, whether you've been gone or not. He loves to learn, thus I catch him pretending to read books a lot. He's great with his little sister, although a little forceful with her pacifier at times :) We love our Roycee-baby.

Kalen is our 4 yr old. He is frequently referred to as our tonka truck. He's so full of life and passion. He has surprised with how he has reacted to a little sister. He is so loving and attentive to her needs. There have been times when he was the one who could calm her down and she would fall asleep on him.
He is anxious for school to start next fall when he gets to go to kindergarten. He is starting to read and knows all his letters and their sounds. He loves trucks, trains, and airplanes. He also loves superman and dinosaurs. Kalen is great about helping around the house and loves, I mean.. LOVES to cook. He is wonderful and definitely helps us to all learn and grow in unexpected ways.

Logyn is getting ready for a triathlon on Sept. 6th up by Heber. He is so excited!! The kids have started school in a brand new school just up the street. Perri loves going all day and the thrill of eating lunch at school. Logyn is ecstatic that he finally has a boy teacher. Kalen and Royce are learning how to get along by themselves while I get back into the swing of things. I enjoy a lot of reading lately. Russell started a new job about a month ago in an architectural firm. He loves it, except for being away from home so much. But like everyone else he is doing the 4 day/ 10 hr. thing so I get him for 3 day weekends. Life is fabulous. I will try to be more up to date in the future.

We have our new little princess Darma! She arrived just as planned on 08/08/08. We are so excited she is here. She is perfect and very easy. The kids love her and enjoy helping out.
We went to Russell's parent's house on Thurs. 7th after making some stops to get Logyn things for his triathlon. My contractions were pretty regular but not hard enough to go to the hospital yet. We had to drive by the hospital to get to mom and papa's. I started having contractions 4 min. apart but I could still talk through them. As soon as we got to mom's, we got the kids settled and left for the hospital to see if I was far enough along that they would admit me. This was at 10:30pm on Thurs. I wasn't, but they let me stay for an hour to see if I would progress. I changed just enough that they said I could walk for a while and if I was progressing at that point I would stay, if I wasn't they would be sending me home. By now it was 1am. I walked for an hour. The first 40min were the same. then all the sudden my contractions were hard enough that I couldn't walk during one. I made it slowly back to my room and they admitted me at 2am. I received my IV and epidural (which was an ordeal.) After 3 tries with the epidural I finally started to have some relief. Then it started wearing off in my midsection but the midwife and anesthetics team were in an emergency C-sec. So I got to wait. Russell was luckily able to sleep through most of this so that he could be coherent when I really needed him. They checked me at 6:30 and I was at a 6. They checked me at 7:10 I was complete. So she was born at 7:41 am my shortest delivery of 4 pushes. She was perfect and nurses very well. We are so happy she is here and that the angels worked overtime to orchestrate her coming Friday morning the 8th of Aug, 2008.

Logyn Russel Evans is our oldest. He turned 8 in January and got baptized on the very busy Day of Februaary 2nd. This also happened to be his grandpa Parry's birthday, Pres. Hinckley's funeral and the day of my brother, Shaun's, 1st benefit concert for Promethean Spark (www.prometheanspark.com)
his non-profit org. Needless to say it was a very busy day, physically and emotionally.
Russell was able to baptize Logyn then his Grandpa Evans (aka Papa) gave a beautiful talk on the Holy Ghost. Logyn was confirmed by his Grandpa Parry and then dazzled everyone with a solo called "My Baptism Day". It was perfect! Logyn received a journal for his special day and waisted no time in writing about this very important day in his life.
Logyn is thrilled about cub scouts and has received his bobcat award. We had our pinewood derby this month and Logyn did very well. Each of the boys had 4 races. Logyn kept getting 2nd place. Then finally on his last race he got first place. You should have seen him jumping all over the place.

The girls in our our family will number 3 by the end of August. Yes, tis true!! We our having a little girl due on Aug. 18th. We are so excited, especially Perri. With Perri's birthday in August we'll have some great princess parties for birthdays. That makes my two oldest boys born in January, my two girls born in Aug. and my youngest boy right in between, in May.
So far, we plan to name her Darma Beth. My grandma Hatch came up with Darma. It is the combined name of my grandma and grandpa on my mom's side. Their names are Darr and Norma. I thought it was very clever. Her middle name, Beth, would be short for Bethers which is my grandma's maiden name. Nothing is set in stone but I think it will stick.
We are painting Perri's room a pretty pale green with purple accents in a garden theme to get ready for "The Girl's" room. We are so excited to finally have 2 families on Russell's side that will have sisters in the family. His sister is the only other one who has two girls out of his 8 siblings. Hooray for Darma!!
